Film recommendation: redesign (My Guide)

Since it’s Friday, maybe you’ll have the chance and the inclination (even if you don’t have much time) to film this weekend.

Love, affection, passing…

“Redesign” is a truly heartbreaking Hungarian short film about the everyday life of an elderly couple. Despite the constant nagging, love and togetherness is felt in every moment. The fantastic performances of Judit Pogány and Zsolt Kovács make the film very touching, deepening the emotions, the pain and the fear with scenes in the car and small dramatic elements. 🌟❤️ I really like short films, because they can often evoke greater, deeper emotions than the usual one and a half to two hour films.

The choice of subject is always topical and inevitable: ageing, everyday struggles and deep love are all at once on display.

How lucky are those who can grow old together.

These 10 minutes are long enough for the viewer to love William and Clare, and after about 3 minutes, to weep and smile at the same time at the story of the couple. The English title, “My Guide”, perhaps expresses the feelings conveyed by the short film even better than the Hungarian title. But make sure you read it for yourself!
